Professional Experience

Ben works as a civil engineer at Ayres Associates, where he manages construction projects for roads, bridges, and other public infrastructure people rely on every day. He is currently overseeing a $24 million taxpayer-funded public development project, coordinating multiple agencies while ensuring public dollars are used responsibly and projects are delivered with accountability. This hands-on experience gives Ben a practical understanding of how infrastructure decisions are made, how taxpayer money is spent, and how those decisions directly affect neighborhoods across Green Bay.

Ben is running for Green Bay City Council because residents deserve a city government that is accessible, responsive, and accountable.

Too often, people raise concerns and never hear back — or major decisions begin taking shape before the public even knows they’re being discussed. Ben believes trust in local government comes from transparency, clear priorities, and follow-through.

He wants to bring a practical, data-driven approach to City Council: focusing on everyday needs, spending taxpayer dollars wisely, and giving residents visibility into what’s happening and why. His goal is to make city government easier to understand and more responsive to the people it serves.

This campaign began by listening. A survey of District 9 residents revealed clear priorities.

More than half of respondents identified roads, sidewalks, and potholes as a top concern. One in three cited how the city spends tax dollars. Residents are asking for better basics — and clearer communication about how decisions are made.

Green Bay already tracks street conditions, but there is an opportunity to better connect that data to clear, visible repair schedules so residents know when their street is planned for improvements and why. Better coordination between road repairs and underground utility work can also help avoid tearing up the same street multiple times, saving taxpayer dollars.

Responsible spending ties all of this together. When projects are planned well and waste is avoided, taxpayer dollars go further — making it easier to invest in other priorities residents care about, including housing initiatives, mental health services, and neighborhood improvements.

Ben works on public, taxpayer-funded projects every day. That experience guides his approach to City Council: clear priorities, transparency, and follow-through.
